JP Capolicchio, M.D., FRCSC, FAAP, Urology

Director of the Division of Pediatric Urology at the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Shriners Hospital for Children, Dr. Capolicchio completed a specialization in Urology at McGill in 1997. He then went on to complete a three-year sub-specialty training in Pediatric Urology as a R. Samuel McLaughlin Foundation Fellow and a Scholar of the American Foundation for Urologic Disease. Dr. Capolicchio is now a McGill’s Associate Professor of Urology in the Departments of Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. He occupied the position of Director of the Section on Pediatric Urology from 2003 to 2005 at the Vermont Children’s Hospital at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Dr. Capolicchio was the President of the Pediatric Urologists of Canada from 2014 to 2016. He also held the position of Associate Chief of Pediatric Surgery at the Montreal Children's Hospital from 2012 to 2018. His field of interests include antenatal hydronephrosis, minimally invasive surgery and endourology, neurogenic bladder and peri-operative urological care of renal transplant patients.
